I love rainbows! Sometimes when we see one, my kids and I hypothetically guess where the end of it is and how long it would take us to reach it. Wouldn’t that be fun if we could actually get to the end of a rainbow? To continue with our St. Patrick’s Day crafting, I put together this fun Paper Plate Pot of Gold Craft that sits at the end of a rainbow. Using dot markers to make the rainbow makes this one especially fun for toddlers and preschoolers.

Supplies you will need:
paper plate
black paint Do A Dot Rainbow Markers
yellow and white cardstock paper 2-inch circle punch (optional) cotton balls glue stapler scissors
Directions:
Start by cutting your paper plate in half. Paint one of the halves with your black paint and set it aside to dry.
Use your dot markers to to make a rainbow on your other paper plate half. Start with your red markers, following along the edge of the paper plate, and then continue with rows of orange, yellow, green, blue and purple.
Cut a cloud shape out of your white cardstock paper and staple it to the end of your rainbow.
Glue cotton balls all over your cloud shape.
Cut 6-7 yellow circles out with your circle punch. Staple or glue them to the top of your black pot.
Finish your craft by stapling the rainbow onto the pot of gold.
